i wanted to lay on the lillypads

I USED TO WORK HERE this is the Conservatory of Flowers in San Francisco. the aquatic garden also had mimosas in it (aka “sensitive plants”) that moved if you touched them. Secret - as soon as the sun goes down this place is OVERRUN with cockroaches. Like, COVERED in them. I feel bad for all the rich ppl who hold their weddings & proms here. Daytime is great, but there’ve been evening receptions where ppl find roaches in their bags and shoes, crawling on the hors-d’oeurves tables….& ppl working there acted like I was being oversensitive being grossed out by that. I couldn’t even keep my bag in the employee lockers cos the roach infestation. Other than that it’s a beautiful place, come visit! “Wicked Plants” was the exhibit when I worked there.

???? what the fuck u talkin about this at Kew Gardens in London

I’VE BEEN HERE AND YOU CAN’T IMAGINE HOW COOL THIS PLACE IS
it’s like a huge beach surrounded but these big rocks with small caves where hippies from all over the world used to hang out in the 60s and 70s.they used to light candles and fires every night and they were very quiet and friendly according to what an old lady who lives there told me

Sometimes I look at people and make myself try and feel them as more than just a random person walking by. I imagine how deeply they’ve fallen in love, or how much heartbreak they’ve all been through.
